Showing Task Sequence Progress  SCCM2012R2

I've set up 25 Base Programs to run in a Task Sequence on a Win 7 client, and I've set those programs to "Whether or not a user is logged on". I've also enabled the advertisement of the task sequence to show the "Task Sequence Progress". However, when the computer is sitting at a login prompt, no progress is shown. The Advertised Task Sequence works and does what it is supposed to. I would like to show the progress to the rest of the world, so they can check the process of the 25 apps installing. The installation guys must see something like this. is there a script/.exe that i can run at start up something like       ShowProcess.exe -process:tsprogressui.exe

Keep in mind task sequences are meant to be used for OSD, and OSD alone. Yes, they work to handle software distribution but they were not intended this way. If you need to deploy 25 applications and they need to be in a certain order, you should use the application model with dependencies.

In regards to the progress of the TS while at a login screen, I dont think Windows works that way. When the TS runs I believe it runs inside explorer.exe. Since you cannot view explorer.exe while at a login prompt this most likely will not work. I personally have never tested this though.

Many times the task sequence is mentioned as a solution on this forum for installing applications, mostly in special cases though. Could you tell me where it is mentioned in Microsoft documentation that the TS is meant for OSD only?

How should you install your base applicationset on a workstation during installation? In a TS you can arrange the order of installations, patches and the reboot-handling.

We use MDT with Lite-Touch deployment for the OS installation and like to use the TS after that phase. Without logging on, we would like to see the progress of the TaskSequence when it is installing applications.

Anybody a solution? Something with tsprogressui.exe?

I just came with similar problem, users want log in and TS is running and next step is restart. We display different background wallpaper to login screen during OSD.
